Camp's
Corner
Christmas is past, and what a Blessed Christmas it was! The Children’s program, “Candy Cane Lane” was tremendous. The children did great. Wanda and Kelli were tireless in their preparations and Lisa McNealy made some fantastic backdrops. All the adults who helped make it as successful as it was are truly appreciated.
The choir’s Cantata was also a blessing to many who heard it, as we celebrated the Love of God for all of us, at all times. Heather, again did a wonderful job of directing us all.
Then on Christmas Eve, our Candlelight Communion Service was the blessing it always is, as we reflected on the Christmas Story, sang the carols, and
communed with our Lord and Savior who made it all possible.
The New Year, 2008, is upon us and only God knows what lays in store for us all.
Our theme in 2008 is “COMPLETE JOY”
Our text will be Philippians 1:27-2:16. We will begin on January 6th with “Encouragement in Christ”; then on January 13th “Consultation of Love”; next on January 20th “Fellowship of the Spirit”; followed on January 27th by “Affection & Compassion”.
February begins 2/3 with “Unity of Mind”; followed by “Unity of Spirit” on February 10; Next, on
February 17th will be “Unity of Purpose”; then on February 24th “Humility of Mind”.
March leads off with “The Attitude of Christ’ on March 2; next will be “Reverence & Awe on March 9th; followed on March 16th by “Light in the World”; and lastly, on March 23rd our Cantata on Easter Morning, “The Christ, The King, The Risen Savior.
We will close March on the 3oth with our first Youth Sunday of 2008. I hope we all come out and support them; as well as support all the ministries of WCC with a new sense of love and commitment towards Christ’s family here, towards the folks in our area, and especially toward our Loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As I stated, none of us know what lies ahead,
yet we know He will never leave us nor forsake us,
but allow us to rest joyfully in His loving and gentle arms.
Loving all of you and looking forward to serving you in 2008!
The Service of the King,
David N. Camp
