Summer is here and in full swing at WCC.  I encourage you to take in all the sights and sounds of the season, as well as the ministry opportunities which await us all.

 VBS was a tremendous success.  Vickie Emberton did a wonderful job of directing us and our children in Outrigger Island.  This was a VBS with a strong Christian and Biblical theme.  Our motto was “Know the truth!  Speak the truth!  Live the truth!  Our daily themes were “God Is Real”, “Jesus Is God’s Son”, “Jesus Is the Only Way”, “The Bible Is God’s Word” (Which we had to skip because our closing program was on Friday Night), and “Our Actions Show What We Believe”.  Very strong and worth while messages indeed.  Pam Cooper & Gwen Baute led the worship, Anita Larcomb was our teacher; Wanda Fortner led the refreshments; Karen Tichenor led crafts; Calvin Emberton, Neils Camp, Tim Camp & the Teens led Recreation; Ben Camp ran the videos; Richard & Louise Klerk led the missions which were for the Samaritan's Purse for flood victims and Hilltop Camp.  Plus we had many regular class sponsors and teachers each evening.  Thanks one and ALL!

 Summer also means Hilltop Christian Camp.  We have brochures, schedules & registration papers.  Make sure you pick them up for your child and register them for their appropriate week.

 The last Sunday in June was our Pork Chop Dinner fund raiser for Engage and our Annual Fireworks Show. in which 200 of us participated.

 CIY is the last week of July at Cleveland Tennessee on the campus of Lee University.  Please get your fifty dollar pre-registration fee in soon. 

 And last but not least vacations, family reunions and get-always dot our schedules.  Just remember to leave your tithes and offerings in the office before you go, as expenses seem to never take a vacation.  Also, thank you for your generosity in helping the flood victims with our “Love Offering”.
