Camp's
Corner
As
I pen these words today my Father is en route to have the aortic aneurism over his
stomach checked to see if he needs surgery.
His doctor told him last time, that his heart valve would need to be fixed first,
so if one needs done the other will as well; but valve first.
Needless
to say many feelings rush over us in times like this, and many of you at WCC know
it well. But God makes sure we know
He is here and taking care of everything: His time, His way.
So here are a few of His promises and comforting words.
“I
will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” (Hebrews
13:56)
“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you
encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” (James
1:2-3)
“In
the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33b)
“Am
I a God who is NEAR, and
not a God far
off?” (Jeremiah
23:23)
“The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD
directs
his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
“Come
to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
“Peace
I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled,
nor let it be fearful.”
(John 14:27)
“Be
anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians
4:6-7)
“And
we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans
8:28)
“But
in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer
through Him who loved us.” (Romans
8:37)
“I
can do all things through Him who strengthen me.”
(Philippians 4:13)
“Now to Him who is able to do abundant exceedingly
beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to
Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
AMEN (Ephesians
3:20-21)
I
love you all and pray God’s richest mercy upon you in your hours of need this coming
month of May.
In the service of the KING,
